Typesetting Service
As a self-published author, I know that the
biggest challenges come after your book has been written.
Before you even tackle the marketing side
of things, getting your book into a format which can be printed or read on an
e-reader is one of the most difficult obstacles.
How big should your book be?
What margins do you need?
Where do you put the table of contents?
How do you make a e-book?
What size cover will you need?
The questions just keep coming. It can all
be rather overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be.
In order to help authors overcome this huge
hurdle, I am offering a typesetting service which will propel your book onto
shelves. And the best thing about it is that it will look as good as, if not
better, than all the bestselling books out there.
I use Adobe’s InDesign, which is the
industry standard for publications. It is a complex piece of software, and can
do anything you want it to, within reason. It won’t make you a cheese sandwich,
but it will allow you to put a map or illustration in your book, for example. If
you want a flourish or a symbol at the beginning of a chapter or between
sections, that’s no problem. And with widows and orphans, InDesign has a way to
deal with them without squashing the rest of the text together and making it
look an untidy mess.
You will end up with a professional looking
book and it won’t cost you the earth.
My prices start at £150 for a novel of up
to 500 pages.
Contact me if you are interested, and let
me answer all the questions to which you don’t yet have the answers, and give
you a book you can be proud of.
